Karen von Merveldt-Guevara, physician (German MD) and healer, poet and painter, lives with her three children in Sedona, Arizona.
Born and raised in the south of Germany, a conservative upbringing and a classic school education exposed her early to Greek and Roman philosophy, history and culture of the Old World. Her vast interest in various aspects of life put her in touch with a wide range of scientific subjects such as quantum physics, psychology and neurology, and other fields of studies like tribal cultures, their philosophies and their medicine".
During her medical studies she became aware of how important it was for her to keep her spirit nourished by using her creative talents in painting, poetry and pottery as well as playing flutes and drums.
Travels to foreign countries, private studies of the different world religions and philosophies and most of all the challenge of raising her children in Todays world, helping them to be, who they are, formed her perception of life.
After several life-changing spiritual experiences, she eventually followed
the call to work as a Traditional Healer, which means intuitively and hands
on". Having been initiated to the ancient ways of healing, the knowledge
of how the five bodies of the human being interact, how the bodies can be
cleared and the imprints" of life experience released, how the
Healer needs to clear him/herself and stay centered, without Ego, she is ready
to share her knowledge and experience with all those, who are interested in
Healing, healing him/herself and helping others heal.
Co-Worker:

Divyo Maria Kuhlmann
is a German psychologist (MA), graduated with an advanced degree in clinical psychology from the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany. After graduation she taught classes in “Practical Psychology” at the Westphalian Wilhelms University, then facilitated seminars and retreats in Germany and Switzerland. She specialized in the empowerment of women and young adults, and heart-centered communications for couples. After several years working in this field, she felt something was missing from psychology alone.
She then traveled to the Far East, which brought a whole new dimension to her work. She deeply explored the connection between body, mind and emotions as part of her own inner journey. Divyo is trained in Tibetan healing, Creative Therapy, Psychodrama, Breath Therapy, Subtle Body Healing, Craniosacral Therapy and a wide variety of spa body treatments. She has been practicing these healing arts for the last 18 years. For 6 years she offered her special consultations, among them “The Harmony”, at Mii Amo, one of the top destination spas in the country.
Since June 2005 Divyo is part of the staff at “The Spa at Sedona Rouge”, where she provides body treatments as well as consultations and retreats. She works part time at the spa and part time out of her own office.
Intrigued by the beauty and efficiency of Bert Hellinger’s work, she started implementing Hellinger Family Constellations into the work with her clients since early 2006. Hellinger Family Constellations have since become an essential part of her healing practice.
Co-Talker:
Thomas Pela, Hopi healer and speaker for the cause of Traditional
Healing, lives in Shungopovi on Second Mesa, Arizona.
This is the village were he was born into the Sun Clan through the lineage of his mother, were he grew up, and, gifted by nature, started his healing work, when he was about 16 years old. As all tribal children at that time, he, too, had to attend a White ManŐs School, in his case the Phoenix Indian School, and was forced to break away from the traditional ways during this period of time. After having received his school education he went back to his people and has lived as a Spiritual Healer among them on and around the Mesas ever since.
He became a speaker for the cause of Traditional Healing, when he was invited to lecture at the University of Austin, Texas, in the Eighties. Other invitations to conferences followed and so he met with Traditional Healers from other countries and cultures, like Japan, Norway and Sweden, to share knowledge and experience with them and the people attending these events. Nationally he was asked to speak at events like The Healing Touch-Conference in Denver, CO and hospitals across the country. He deeply believes in the necessity to pass on this knowledge and to keep the wisdom alive, which perpetuates his work and his life, by sharing it with all those, who have a serious interest in Healing.
